How does Fair Books use my information?

Fair Books uses your information for the purpose of delivering accountancy and bookkeeping services.


What data and personal information does Fair Books collect from me?

Fair Books collects your information in several ways:

Your personal information is gathered when you meet the Accountant

Fair Books asks for your name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, National Insurance Number and Unique Tax payer Reference number. To satisfy Money Laundering Regulations 2017 we obtain proof of address and ID to verify your identity.

If you contact Fair Books in writing we may keep a record of that correspondence on file.

If you apply for a job with us, we will ask for your name, address, phone number, email address, brief history of employment and relevant qualifications.


Cookies and how Fair Books use them?

When you visit our website your browser could alert you to the fact that a cookie is being sent to your PC.

This is a cookie that is permanently stored on your computer and is used the next time you visit Fair Books.


How does Fair Books protect your personal data online?

Fair Books stores your data in compliance with the latest GDPR regulations and we never disclose or sell on your data to any third parties.

Debit and Credit Card details are not stored on our web site.


How long will Fair Books retain my data?

We will keep your personal data secure, only store it for as long as needed and only for the purposes of fulfilling the services required. Once personal data is no longer needed, we will destroy it securely.

We must keep your records for at least 5 years after the 31st January submission deadline of the relevant tax year.

If you apply for a job with us and you are unsuccessful, we will keep your personal data for no longer than 6 months.


Your choices regarding collection, distribution and use of your information?

Fair Books will contact you regarding your personal and business tax affairs.

Fair Books will not email you with promotional offers unless you subscribe to our Newsletter

You may at any time request that we delete you from our data base by emailing us at contact@fairbooks.co.uk and in the subject title PLEASE REMOVE MY DETAILS FROM YOUR DATA BASE and we will delete you from our data base.
